Regulators
Our specialist, highly-regarded regulation team advises clients on matters relating to the codes of conduct that regulate professions or are laid down or enforced by statutory bodies.
We act both for national professional regulatory bodies such as the Law Society, the Solicitors Regulation Authority, the Institute of Legal Executives and the Architects Registration Board - undertaking investigatory, audit and prosecution work as well as advising on general policy - and for individuals facing investigation or disciplinary proceedings.
We have a reputation for ensuring matters are resolved without the need for litigation. However, we have the expertise and resources to handle long and complex contested matters, such as those relating to investigations by the Financial Services Authority (FSA), Serious Fraud Office and HM Revenue and Customs.
Charging information
Charges are usually based on our hourly rates plus administrative charges and disbursements. We will provide you with an initial estimate of your likely legal costs and will update this as your requirements or the circumstances of the work change.
If you instruct us on a volume of work and/or can offer us a fixed term contract we may be able to offer discounted hourly rates.
We would be pleased to discuss your requirements free of charge and tailor a costs proposal accordingly.
