Lexcel is the Law Society's practice management standard. The Lexcel practice management standard is only awarded to solicitors who meet the high management and customer care standards. Lexcel accredited practices undergo rigorous independent assessment every year to ensure they meet required standards of excellence in areas such as client care, case management and risk management.

The Times Best Law Firms 2023

The 2023 edition ranked us as one of the top three Family law firms and in addition listed our teams in Commercial property, Crime, Landlord and tenant and Inheritance and succession planning/private client.

This annual law firm ranking is based on research amongst solicitors in England and Wales who are asked which practice they would instruct in each area of work.

The firm has been listed every year since the report was launched in 2019. From the list, only 13 firms, including Russell-Cooke, have commendations in all three of the main categories of Business Law, Public Law and Private Client.

ePrivate Client 2022

Russell-Cooke has been listed by eprivateclient for the 12th consecutive year as among the best private client legal teams in the UK.

Directories

Chambers and Legal 500 are the leading legal directories in the UK. Both are based on references from research with clients, referrers, co-professionals and peers as well as submissions provided by the firm itself.

Chambers UK 2024

In the latest edition 37 Russell-Cooke lawyers, including one Senior Statespeople and three Band 1 individuals were ranked across 15 categories, including three Band 1 team rankings. Chambers listed Russell-Cooke as in the top 10 firms with the highest proportion of women ranked.

Chambers High Net Worth 2024

17 of the firm’s experts are ranked across five categories: Family/Matrimonial: Finance: High Net Worth, Private Wealth Law, Private Wealth Disputes, Real Estate: High Value Residential and Defamation/Reputation Management: High Net Worth. The family team is ranked at Band 1 for the third year and has been shortlisted for the Family Team of the Year in the Chambers High Net Worth Awards for the past two years.

Legal 500 2024

The directory recommended 73 lawyers across 24 practice areas, with 29 lawyers ranked as leaders in their field. Five lawyers are listed in the Hall of Fame.
