Law and policy are falling behind evolution of families - The Times
"The concept of the 'nuclear family' with segregated and stereotypical male and female roles is outdated and officially in decline" according to the Independent Family Review by the Children’s Commissioner for England.
Writing in The Times, partner Sarah Richardson and senior associate James Sandiford assert that law and policy is at risk of falling behind the times with respect to families.
According to the report, there is a lack of government data around the evolving way families are defined — an oversight that is letting families and children down.
